Who Tim is
Too stubborn to quit, and too honest to fake it.
Tim Williams served with the Parachute Regiment and has spent his life making things with his hands. Today he builds from reclaimed pallet wood in his own workshop, keeps himself strong with simple no-kit exercises, and cooks proper food on a tight budget. He films all of it himself, at his own pace, with no studio and no script.
Stubborn Carpenter is where that all lives: the videos, a shop of handmade pieces, a free training library and a kitchen of hundreds of everyday meals.
What we make
Handmade pieces
Built from old pallet boards, small enough to post, each one filmed from rough board to finished piece.
No-kit exercises
Short animated guides with printable sheets. A new one every Sunday morning as the exercise of the week.
Meals in Tim's Kitchen
Everyday recipes with full method, nutrition and an A4 card for each, costed to the penny.
Tim's Sunday email
Everything new on the site in one email, every Sunday evening.
Live numbers
Who it's made for
- People in their 50s, 60s and beyond who want to stay strong, steady and independent.
- Makers, woodworkers and DIYers who like real builds with real tools, not flat-pack.
- Veterans, service families and anyone who likes a straight-talking story.
- Households cooking well on a budget while prices keep climbing.
The channels are new this autumn and we're building the audience week by week. Partners who join early get founding rates and the longest run in front of it.
Ways to partner
Series sponsor
Back a build series or the channel itself. Your name on the bench, in the videos and in the Sunday email.
Product in use
Send a tool, finish or piece of kit. Tim uses it on a real build and gives his honest view.
Tools and timber
Keep the workshop stocked with blades, abrasives, fixings or boards, credited in every video they appear in.
Sunday email feature
A clearly labelled slot in Tim's weekly email, written in his own words.
Sponsor the kitchen
Fund a month of Tim's meals as a business and be thanked on the Tim's Kitchen pages that month.
Something else
Commissions, interviews, features. If it fits Tim, tell him.
Tim's ground rules
- Honest opinions. If something isn't up to the job, he'll tell you privately and won't feature it.
- Every paid feature and gifted item is clearly labelled as an ad.
- Real use, not unboxing. Your kit earns its place on the bench before it gets a mention.
- No gambling, payday lenders or miracle cures.
Let's talk
Tell Tim what you have in mind and someone will get back to you, usually within a week.
